Policing Patterns + Racial Injustice in Boston, MA

This set of maps explores police and demographic data from Boston’s open source database. The first two maps visualize variables such as the proportion of arrests made to incidents, crime incidents, and racial makeup of Boston’s policing districts. The final map zooms into district A1 and plots the reported location of felonies, uncovering a drugs and narcotics problem within Boston Commons, a wealthier section of the city.
